Today, the Prince of Wales and Camilla visited the UK Supreme Court to commemorate its 10th anniversary.

The UK SUPREME COURT is the final court of appeal in the UK for civil cases, and for criminal cases from England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It hears cases of the greatest public or constitutional importance affecting the whole population and it was first opened in 2009 by Her Majesty, The Queen.

Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall today met with Lady Hale, the first Woman Justice of the Supreme Court when it opened in 2009, who also introduced them to the Court’s staff – Registrars, Ushers, Clerks and Guides.

The visit was concluded with a photo taken with all the 12 Justices of the Supreme Court.
