On this day in 2011, HRH Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales married his University sweetheart, Miss Catherine Elizabeth Middleton at Westminster Abbey, London.
On their wedding day, Her Majesty the Queen gave them the royal titles, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
In addition, the Duchess of Cambridge has today been made a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.
It’s an honour given out personally by The Queen and is for services to the sovereign.
Eight years and three beautiful babies later, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continue to capture the hearts of many royal fans worldwide.
