Yesterday morning, Her Royal Highness, Meghan the Duchess of Sussex was announced as the Royal Patron of four organisations.
These organisations reflect the causes and issues with which she has long been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare.
The announcement came as she paid a morning visit to one of the organisations, Smart Works.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, who is pregnant with her and Prince Harry’s first child, looked very chic and elegant in her ensemble.
She was dressed in a stylish camel coat by Oscar De La Renta, the ”Plexi” Cow Print Pumps by Gianvito Rossi, a box bag by Victoria Beckham, the “Felicity”earrings by sustainable brand Kimai, and a black maternity dress from HATCH collection.

Below are brief details of the organisations of which the Duchess of Sussex is patronage of.

SMART WORKS
Created in September 2013 and with about 50% of its clients of an ethnic minority, Smart Works helps long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain the confidence and tools that they need to get jobs, succeed at job interviews, return to employment and transform their lives
MAYHEW
Established in 1886, Mayhew is an animal welfare organisation, working in a unique way to improve the lives of animals and people to better communities both in London and internationally.
An animal-lover herself, Meghan owned two rescue dogs, Guy and Bogart, when she met Prince Harry.
The charity’s work includes rehoming dogs and cats while a network of welfare officers rescue animals every day. They also visit homeless centres to ensure people’s pets, often their only companion, are kept healthy and can stay with their owners.
THE NATIONAL THEATRE
The Duchess is a strong believer in using the arts to bring people from different backgrounds and communities together.
The mission of the National Theatre is to make world-class theatre that’s entertaining, challenging and inspiring – and to make it for everyone.
This patronage has been passed down by Her Majesty the Queen, who held the role for 45 years.
THE ASSOCIATION OF COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITIES
Her Royal Highness is a strong advocate of accessible education for all.
The ACU is the world’s first and oldest international university network, and the only org representing higher education across all 53 Commonwealth countries.
This patronage has been passed down by Her Majesty the Queen, who held the role for 33 years.

As you can see, Her Royal Highness becoming the Royal patron of these four organisations reflect the causes and issues she has long championed including the arts (National Theatre), access to education (Association of Commonwealth Universities), support for women (Smart Works), and animal welfare (Mayhew).
All four organisations have already expressed delight at their new Royal Patron and we are optimistic that not only is the Duchess of Sussex a good fit for these organisations, but she would also do a great job at being their Royal Patrons
God bless Her Royal Highness, Meghan the Duchess of Sussex and God save the Queen!
FOR GOD, QUEEN AND COUNTRY
