The Duke and Duchess of York today announced the engagement of their daughter, HRH Princess Beatrice of York to Italian property tycoon, Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.


Princess Beatrice is grand-daughter to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, daughter of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York, and 9th in the line of succession to the British throne.
Mr. Mozzi is a 34-year-old millionaire property tycoon, descended from Italian aristocracy,

The above black-and-white pictures were taken by photographer Misan Harriman at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park, while the coloured pictures below were taken by Princess Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie.

The stunning platinum-diamond ring is a bespoke design by British jeweller Shaun Leane and it features a round brilliant cut diamond flanked by 4 baguette-cut diamonds.

In a joint statement, Princess Beatrice and Mr. Mozzi said:
““We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. “We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married. “We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
The wedding is set to take place next year, 2020.
