The Duchess Of Cambridge Attends The Mental Health in Education Conference And Gala

HRH Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge today attended the Royal Foundation’s ‘Mental Health in Education’ Conference.

The objective of the conference is to bring together delegates from across the education and mental health sectors, to work together in combating mental health issues in school.

“It is clear that the positive development of our children is directly linked to those who care for them, teachers, carers and parents.  The evidence is clear the first few years of a child’s life are more pivotal for development and for future health and happiness than any other single moment in our lifetime” — The Duchess of Cambridge said, in her speech at the conference.

MENTALLY HEALTHY SCHOOLS, an initiative launched by the Duchess last year, provides primary schools free access to high-quality mental health resources and helping teachers better support their pupils’ mental health.

HRH was dressed in a smart Dolce and Gabbana tweed boucle skirt suit, a pair of black suede pumps by Tods, her Mulberry Bayswater clutch bag, and White Topaz Cushion Drop Earrings by Kiki McDonough.

Later in the evening, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the 100 WOMEN IN FINANCE  Gala Dinner.

The gala was held at the V&A Museum London in aid of MENTALLY HEALTHY SCHOOLS,  with HRH as the guest of honour.

All proceeds from the Gala will go towards the Mentally Healthy Schools initiative.

The Duchess is also a Royal Patron for the V & A.

Her husband, Prince William the Duke of Cambridge has been a Royal Patron for the 100 Women in Finance’s Philanthropic Initiatives since 2009, with his brother Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex joining in that role in 2012, and now Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, also becoming a Royal Patron.

The Duchess wore a floaty rose pink gown by Gucci for the evening event and she accessorised the waist with a velvet band, which coordinated with the Prada purse she carried for the evening.

HRH wore a pair of Oscar De La Renta pumps and her morganite and diamond earrings are by Kiki McDonough
